I’m Tolu, Founder and Executive Chef at An Eater’s Playground.
I love to eat. I love immersive experiences. I love places that make you feel. I love experiencing new cultures and trying new things. So naturally I started An Eater’s Playground as a ‘Finsta’ on Instagram in 2016 because I had hundreds of food photos I had captured across countries and cuisines and needed somewhere to archive them. Nearly 10 years later, I am a self-taught chef, a baker, an experiential dining curator and a recipe developer with a growing community.
The Playground is where I’ll share new things happening at An Eater’s Playground—from new menus and dessert drops to behind-the-scenes looks at private dining and the flavours I’m working with.

Why this, why now
If you’ve followed An Eater’s Playground, you know it’s more than just food—it’s about experiences, creativity, and sharing good things with good people. Over time, I’ve realised that there’s more I want to share. I wanted a space where I could go deeper into the process—what I’m working on, experimenting with, and refining.
That’s where The Playground comes in. Instead of just announcing specials when they drop, this is a space for people who want an inside look at what’s happening behind the scenes—from flavor testing and menu development to insights on cooking and baking.
This is a community for people who enjoy food in a real way. Whether you’re a longtime AEP customer, someone interested in flavours and techniques, or just here for the occasional exclusive drop, I want The Playground to feel like an extension of the dining experiences I create at AEP.
It’s for people who love thoughtful, well-executed food. It’s also for those who want first access to what’s next for AEP, whether that’s new menu drops, cake slice drops, pop-ups, or private dining slots.
